no fans are ever happy anywhere. ask any coach. thats the nature of the beast that is now college football. a multi-billion dollar industry dictates such. dont be naive about LSU fanbase being the most critical. its now strictly bidness everywhere.
Just a question, but why would LSU pick up a few big commits/recommits if they even have a question as to who the head coach would be?
OH I know its not just LSU, but I look at the past 10 years or so and 2008 and 2009 had a VERY negative tone about the team and coaching.. THe Bama game solved it IMO tho...
gotta look at it day by day. if miles has another clock catastrophe hes going back into the cooker and deservedly so. for now, he gets kudos on an excellent season with no qb.
Truer words never spoken. I can guarantee you I have nearly pulled my hair out from time to time (OM game, end of UT game this year, others...) But I have never wanted him gone, although the same can't be said for Crowton. I want him gone yesterday. - There are so many variables involved in making a great HC. Miles has 95% of them. To me, public speaking isn't one of them. He recruits like a mad man, he runs a clean program, the players would run thru a burning building for him, (even past recruits/players from A&M sought him out last night for an embrace), and he WINS. There is no dispute that the SEC is the toughest conference in all of college football. There are two coaches that have more wins than Les Miles/LSU since 2005. One is Urban Meyer, the other is Mack Brown. Urban Meyer is a goner, and went 7-5 this season. Mack Brown is about to retire, and went 5-7 this year. Les Miles is within two wins of both of these coaches. I guarantee you he'll pass both next season. If he stays here, he's going to win another :crystal: in the next 1-3 years. If he goes, I truly believe it will be very much to the detriment of LSU...in more ways than one.
