pure Hearsay, I don't think Nebraska goes after Coach P. They passed on him once, and they probably want another "Big Name" coach. Thinking that they can prove that Bill Callahan was a fluke hire. I don't doubt Coach P will get a offer at the end of the year from numerous schools.

Hopefully you're right but I don't think you are. Pelini is a bad a$$ coach... and with his mastery on Defense (which everyone knows Defenses win Championships) you'd have to be an idiot to pass on him.

I'm skeptical that they will go after Pelini too but Tom Osborne is not the type of guy who is going to hire a "big name" just to hire a big name. He is going to try and hire the right guy whether it be a big name or not. He was named interim AD for one reason and thats to hire the next coach. Turner Gill has to be high on that list but Pelini might be too. We will know soon enough.

Nebraska is a big time school who has fallen on hard times. eATMe is going to be looking for a coach too and probably Michigan and maybe even Tennessee. Those are some big jobs competing for coaches. I think we will have some tense moments in the upcoming weeks but we are in a sweet position no matter what happens.

IF we were to lose both, I would really like Muschamp and that would practically knock out two birds with one stone.

Hello Tiger fans! First off, Coach Miles' play call at the end of the Auburn game took balls of solid rock. I love to see it when someone is rewarded for having the balls to play to win. That was impressive!

Secondly, I want to try to lend some insight into Coach Pellini's future. Basically, nobody here in Nebraska knows which direction Coach Osborne is leaning toward. Yes, the rumor mill has been working overtime since the canning of Steve Pederson, and Coach Pellini seems to be the one most of these rumors are centered around. Coach Osborne has made no indication on who he intends to replace Callahan with, if he decides to replace Callahan at all (in all likelyhood, Callahan is a goner). We really don't know what Coach Osborne is thinking. That being said, this is mostly a case of wishful thinking. It's no secret that Coach Pellini is well respected and well loved by the people here in Nebraska, and it is the people of the State of Nebraska (myself included), not the boosters, administrators, or sports writers, that want Coach Pellini back. We will all know more following the Colorado game, when Coach Osborne evaluates the coaching staff, and makes his decision on their future with Nebraska football. Another name that has been bouncing around the state for the past week is our former QB coach, Turner Gill. Mike Stoops' name has been mentioned as a replacement for current DC Kevin Cosgrove if things don't work out for him at Arizona. So to sum it up, it's entirely possible that Coach Osborne may just leave Coach Pellini alone, and pursue someone else. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for listening, and God Bless.

    nebraska fan here....

the rumors about bo are running rampant here. I am not the rumor believing type, but I am inclined to believe that atleast some of it has to be true. to many peolple who have been right before are saying it. I would say 90% of the fans really like BO and atleast 60% have him as their top choice(I'm going off the message board I am on) I think if he is not considered for the spot most will be upset. I also say that most of the NU fans want Bo over turner gill

Looking back, does anyone think some of the answers about our defense could be due to the fact that Bo left (Focus-wise) weeks ago? I'd like to think people have more integrity and wouldn't give 100% to what's in front of them but I've also been around people enough to know about wondering eyes.

As far as Bo, however, I know practically nothing about him personally so just thought I'd throw that question out cause it does lend itself to what we've seen unfold.

On the surface, I'd say yes. But then I remember the last 2 years. We've run the same basic scheme every game since he's been here. If you remember, last year we all had a discussion about his "react" type defense, instead of "attack" style. Last year, and half way through this year, it worked. Earlier this year, some people started to have some success against it. Since then, other coaches took those blueprints, and added their own wrinkles and stared having more and more success. All the while, Bo stayed in the same scheme.
    So my question is this.
Is he not adjusting/adapting because he's distracted?
    or
Is he not adjusting/adapting because he's one of those coordinators so married to his own schemes, that he refuses to change it even though it's no longer working properly?
