I did something stupid things (bad decision making, putting myself before others) my first two years of school at La. Tech, but eventually grew up a bit. Granted, no one gave me a $100,000 scholarship, but they did give me some. My point is, this is a very young man, and I think we should give him a break. No justifying his behaviors, just giving him another chance. Having said that, you know what I'm looking forward to seeing? RP spelling MF on specific plays when we need his skill set to make a first down, scoring on short yardage, etc. (Remember the Gator fans drooling all over themselves last year every time Tebow was put in the game? I think putting RP in will shame anything tebow did) Tebow is a talented kid, but not like RP. (Confidential to my friend from Vidrine: OK, here's my next shot at doing this. How'd I do?)
Agree more with tiger2012. Sure he has alot more eyes on him than an average college student, but who hasn't used a fake id before? Glad to hear he is reacting the correct way and trying his best to make things right. Even though I think fake id's are a more serious charge than fighting, I would be more concerned if he got in a fight. This was a victimless crime, whereas some huge football player beating the snot out of someone is not. About bringing bad attention to the school twice, I think the first situation wasn't really fair to him. We have no idea what he did, he was only involved in the investigation. Could happen to anyone.
Good to see another source out there confirming the exact same I am hearing. However, I never heard an exact date but just that it will be soon so he wont miss much practice. I agree fake Ids are serious expecially if you have information withheld about the person making the fake IDs. I was questioned before about a fake id ring in my younger days but that is a long story. However, RP was just using his older brother's id which isnt a big deal at all in my eyes. I dont see how anyone with brothers wouldnt have tried it a time or two.
Dude, the things I could have been caught doing when I was a student... I'm pretty sure I could have gotten into trouble for the gin and tonic parties a friend and I had on the Indian Mounds every once in a while. Oh, and that time a friend and I changed the lisence plates of a certain fraternity around, campus police was not amused.
That's great to hear and all but if that's true, what's up with Les Miles saying that Jarret Lee will DEFINITELY NOT be redshirted? It was in the Reveille or on lsusports.net.
News like that makes me wish is was it was Aug 29th even more! I'm glad he's screwing his head on straight. I'm glad to read about him mom watching him too. Sounds like something my mom would do, but before she would do that, she would tell me that she is definitely going to have to say the rosary before bed. Show'em who's the man, Perrilloux! :thumb: :geauxtige
RP will be reinstated sometime next week. The article makes it sound if there is still a possibility he wont be reinstated but that is not the case unless something major comes out in the next few days. http://www.bayoubengalsblog.blogspot.com/
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt before making any further comments. I'd like to see the kid do well.
