Exactly! :thumb: As I stated in another post, the soft defense is worrisome BUT we DO have coaches and they did see it, that's what they are paid to do. We WON! under extreme adversity. :thumb: We may see ASU win many games in the PAC 10 and make us Proud! :yelwink2:
Top half of the SEC!? The SEC has alot of very talented defenses, but we had better be battling for one of the top spots in the SEC, not trying to get into the top half... With the talent we have, not being atleast on the same level of the best defenses in the SEC would be a big, big dissapointment.
A new defense has been installed. The team isn't going to run it perfectly on the first game out. Nick's defense took a while to come together, too. It would have been great to break it in against three powerpuff teams in Tiger Stadium, but it didn't work that way. We have to see more of this defense to judge it properly and remember that opening against two ranked teams will have something to do with our perceptions as well. This will be a better defense as the season goes on.
Interesting where they ended up after the ASU spanking last year: 23. Iowa (1-1) L, at Iowa State 23-3 next game: Northern Iowa Don’t forget that Iowa often clunks one away at the beginning of the season only to come back roaring. Remember the 44-7 loss to Arizona State last year? IA 2004 National Team Report: Total Defense 11 Iowa
