I think we all need to take a step back and get some perspective.

For one, what do you think the attitude of our friends at AU and UGA are toword their coaches and gameplans from yesterday? Seriously who has a "dominant" coach esp. in the SEC. As posted earlier Urban Meyer CRIED after their loss to us last year. I'm not (as posted earlier) giving Miles a pass, but I am far from saying the sky is falling. I think the one thing we are missing this year is team leadership...Kyle Williams held us together a lot last year. If there is one thing Saban taught this fan base is the importance of team leadership....you can't coach that. Just some early morning ramblings....just curious what everyone else thought. :geauxtige

I don't care if Urban Meyer cried, he obviously wasn't there or doesn't have a clue about the beatings we took at the hand of UF.
    I cried then...

We aren't AU or UGA, I would rather be in their position, at least they can run
    the football.
They both have proven coaches as well so they have stability.
I'm not blasting our coaches here either, just saying that those programs
are in a better position than we are.
Our coaches didn't turn the ball over...
I don't know if the Sky is falling or not I'll give my opinion on that after a few
    more SEC games.
I know one thing, the sky did fall yesterday during this game and our team
looked and played like a bunch of freshman.
They looked to young to win.
I don't care about a dominant coach in the SEC?
What I care about is that we had a chance to make up ground after an AU
loss and beat a top 10 team and we didn't do it.
I could accept it better if it was a good game but its the way it unfolded.
Saban also taught us to play for 60 minutes, did we do that yesterday?
Once again, the picture could be better if we could run the ball or have
    any scoring offense.
The only consistancy of our offense is the inconsistancy to move the ball
against SEC competition, lack of scoring is the real issue.

I would rather being dealing with a game where we self destructed than to be manhandled by a team @ home, who barely beat Vandy, and should have lost to Bama. Its sucks we lost but short of USC everyone is in the same boat right now.

Whether we have it or not is difficult to assess from a distance. But my gut tells me it's lacking.

A specific example is every time the cameras are on Landry he seems to be talking smack with the opponent instead of rallying and inspiring his defensive teammates.

I think senior leadership is lacking. It was also lacking in '04, when I felt we struggled all year to come up with an identity. Sometimes a senior class comes up short in that end, though I would feel that guys like Chris Jackson and Landry should be up to the job. But I was also surprised Marcus Spears didn't fill the void in '04.
