I'm fairly sure that's the trophy one gets for winning the Rose Bowl. I'll check Heritage Hall tonight and see what I can find out. For the confused: I'm a grad student at USC and Heritage Hall is where they keep their football trophies.
Yes, smile, and say "we're a great team, just won the rose bowl. im proud of my team." even "im honored that the writers voted us #1." but instead what he did was whinning. just like urban last year except at least he did it before the fact. do you think pete thinks auburn are the national champs of 04? hell, at least they were undefeated that year. did pete push to play auburn after beating OU? he just came off as a sore loser in 03. if he were smart he wouldve gotten brangelina or someone to whine for him.

The polls don't matter unless you win. We just have to keep winning but even if we lose one game we will probablybe alright. Keep in mind USC WILL lose at least one game especially if they play the way they did against Washington. The Pac 10 teams are better this year than previous years and I don't believe USC is as good as they are suppose to be just like Florida wasn't. It is an opinion but I'm sure USC will stumble somewhere down the line.
Hey, what a coincidence, this same group, the Associated Press, that awarded ya'll a trophy after the 2003 season has LSU ranked #1 this week. Man this sure is a funny world we live in.
