Good call. I forgot about that issue.

Throw that into the mix and I just don't know.

No way I would come back. There will still be a draft even if there is a lockout and the issues will be settled between the players and owners later if not sooner. Peterson will get a fat contract and if he came back for his senior season he would be risking injury. Every college superstar is only a blown knee dropping him from sure millionaire to only a thousandaire

a fat contract thats backloaded, with way less guaranteed money and a rookie cap, thats one of the sticking points with the owners in the NFL, they aint letting that one go my friend.

But contracts don't get signed until much closer to the start of the season. There could very well be a lockout before anything is guaranteed to him.

I would love to see PP at LSU in '11 as much as you would but if the owners prevail in their negotiations there will be a rookie salary cap anyway in 2012 draft. Peterson cannot possibly improve upon his draft position now matter how great a 2011 season he might have and why risk the chance of injury

Oh right, good point. Wouldn't matter either way.
