    Well.. considering the money he is getting here, I'm thinking he declined LSU because Skip wasnt going to pay him bigtime cash..

    Petrino didn't decline LSU. After his interview Skip declined to offer him the job. Petrino must have really blown it. So he went back home and "withdrew his name from consideration. I doubt money was an issue, Skip payed Nick better than any coach in college football.

    absolutely! game was on espn (motor city bowl i think) some of the players overheard and from news reports at the time there was almost a killing!!
