For starters, LSU was terrible when he graduated. Secondly, he wanted out of BR after his mother was killed. Great guy. I went to CHS right after he left but got to meet him a few times. He once showed up to football practice on a visit with Charlie Ward. Got to meet him as well, which was awesome.
Exactly, and to add to him wanting to get out of Baton Rouge he told me years later that he was going out of state no matter who was at lsu. He really is a great guy and loved his mother dearly, her death still guides his life. And he told me that Bobby Bowden was a Godsend to him.
My brother grew up with Dunn and I got to meet him and play video games with him as a kid. He didn't want out of Baton Rouge. He loved it here and was in BR a while after his mother was murdered. LSU just wasn't elite enough to get him and the FSU caravan of blacked out SUVs were in BR often. He was sold early on in his senior year. I used to get mad at him for always picking FSU when we played College Football on the Sega. LOL
I'm totally surprised at the Louisville AD made this hire. It's almost as if he panicked. And that isn't usually his MO.
Agree, there are some that want him back, an some that don't. They knew what they were getting the first time, an its the same thing now.
I hope he gets Louisville the NCAA death penalty and is banned from coaching within the next 3 seasons.
