Petrino is no more a scumbag than Saban and a lot of other coaches. He's a great recruiter and coach, And he reminds me of that guy on CSI - Miami.
I know a lot of good coaches that are also great people, high school, college and Pros. Coaches know who are scumbags, that's when a coach is hired by LSU, I ask other coaches. If its someone I don't know too well. You are painting with a wide brush there, trying to cover a small area.
Posted this in the college sports forum yesterday and no one responded. Guess I should have posted here. At any rate, I'm not sure why Louisville would want him back and not for any off the field issues. He's proven time and again that he's gone as soon as a better offer comes along; even doing it to Louisville once already, so he's obviously going to do it again.
Louisville's basketball coach got a woman (who is not his wife) pregnant on the floor of a restaurant and made her get an abortion. They gave up on character a while ago.
Yeah, I forgot about all that stuff with Pitino (the nick saban of college basketball). I've also heard the LV's academics are a complete joke.
I might be stirring up the hornets nest here but this remarkably sounds like our dear little nicky. How many LSU fans if given the chance to have $aban back would jump at the chance. I would believe there are a fair amount in both camps (ie the camp to never see him every again, and the camp to take him back in a sec if he wanted to come). I would venture to say $aban and Petrino have similar moral compasses.
