You remember the 80 yard TD by Little Joe called back with an offical stated he wasn't standing in the correct position. It cost us the game in 1968. Bama has no room to cry foul.

Not sure why you felt the need to re-hash this, but ok.

Hey, at least it was a post that has something about LSU ON the field rather than about LSU and "off the field". :D

In a related story, Harvard beat the living daylights out of Penn.

Both players have a right to the ball. At no time did Webster take his eyes off the ball. That's why it was a no-call.

    Bingo.

The ref saw the whole event transpire. I'd bet a month's pay that his take on the situation is exactly what you say.

I'd only add one thing to your comment . . . I'm guessing that the ref concluded that the Bama player fell down ON PURPOSE in a lame attempt to draw the PI call. Ref wasn't fooled by the acting job.

Most of these pics prove nothing, except for the ones that show boith players with their arms extended onto the other guys body. It was a very good no call IMO, the receiver fell down without Webster extending his arms any farther, which is what he would have had to do if he pushed the guy.
