If we win our second Crystal Ball look for everyone including USC to be really pissed with envy. When you crunch the numbers they all know we deserve to be there. Funny thing is if we beat OSU everyone will have at least 2 loses except Hawaii. No one with a brain will doubt we are the best of all the 2 lose teams plus Hawaii with our schedule. No one will have traveled our road and turned in a better win/loss record. No one's schedule compares to ours. All Georgia has to show for there season is a Sugar Bowl win, no other championships. We have the West Division, SEC Championship and hopefully the National Championship. It is what it is! :thumb: :miles:
On the road a bit this morning which gave me the opportunity to listen to a bit of Colin Cowherd's show. His take on this bowl season was one that I got a good chuckle out of. He was using games like Oklahoma and Kansas as examples and talking about how most of the media had picked OU and Va Tech to win, and win soundly. It wasn't a point of how they got it wrong, but his point was how teams like Kansas and WVU should be thanking the media for their role in both teams wins. WHY? Because, with all the talk of one team being so much better than the other the teams used the media's comments and prognostications as "bulletin board material" to get up for the game. Just another reason to approach what any person in the media writes cautiously, but don't give it more weight than a grain of salt. "We weren't right with who we picked, but the winner should thank us for being wrong because we influenced the game." Prime example # 1 jillion of them not reporting the news, but trying to make it.
I'm embarrassed to have forgotten Kansas from the Big Ten who could not win their division. :dis: Gee, I wonder how that happen? Especially when I just watched the game last night. I guess that says enough about Kansas.
Ive yet to figure out why the media had Oklahoma and Virginia Tech as such big favorites. I bet the media didn't even know how good both of those teams defenses were before their games. And I can guarantee you most fans probably thought they were in the bottom 10 percent. :dis:
The media here in Columbus are talking as if the LSU Fans, players and Coaches feel they have the NC:crystal: in there hands before playing the game. They are playing the underdog for all its worth. :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
I agree that the sentiment in columbus is that we are the underdogs. the reason is that despite spittin lou, and a few others, there is no doubt in my mind that we are the underdogs, and if you or anyone else is trying to pretend that we're not, you're not paying attention. Nearly 80% of the country picked LSU to win, most of whom picked them in a blowout. If that doesn't make us the underdog, I'd hate to actually be one. Poor attempt, Not by you, LSUfaninohio, but someone earlier on this thread, to try and say that LSU is the underdog. One of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Spittin lou also picked florida last year, I suppose that would have made tOSU the underdog last year also?
Corso makes no bones about who he likes, this is him on the USC sideline during the Rose Bowl. Looks like he thinks USC is #2. That's one of the things that concerns me MUCH. Ohio State players and fans are SICK & TIRED of hearing about SEC speed and last year's game and WILL come in and play with a serious chip on their shoulders. It can count for A LOT of motivation. You could hear it in the Kansas player's comment after the game last night, he said, "Now can we say we played someone?" Right or wrong, he was obviously referring to comments about "They haven't played anyone."
