In front of his church this morning, Chase committed to the University of Texas. He said that he and Cole had dreamed of lining up together in college. He closed by saying that though he and Cole didn't agree on everything, they did agree on one thing, "to play for the best football coach in America, Mack Brown, University of Texas".

It's just sad that they think Mack Brown is the best football coach in the country, maybe one of the best recruiters, but not in to top 25 as far as coaches go.

    Did something change his mind?

It appears Chase has had a change of heart.

Saying Mack Brown is the greatest football coach is the equivalent of Dale Brown being the best basketball coach.

At least Dale Brown went to the Final Four a couple of times. Mack Brown has never gotten close to playing for all the marbles.

Both are above average coaches that are great recruiters. However, both underachieve at the end of the season.

    GMoney, I feel as though

Dale Brown overachieved when the talent wasn't top notch. Some people criticize him for not winning it all with Shaq, Stanley Roberts, and Chris Jackson. At that time Shaq didn't have near the skills that he has now. Besides I will take up for Coach Brown. I met him a few months ago and found him to be a genuinely nice person and he will give anyone the time of day. He gave all that he had to try and take LSU to the top.

Win it all?    They didn't stay in the tournament long enough for house keeping to change the sheets on their hotel beds. :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:

Just like Mack, daddy Dale did less with more than anyone in the history of their sport. He did however have a couple of nice runs with lesser talented teams. Brown should have been fired years before he was allowed to destroy the basketball program at LSU.

The '86 team didn't have an overabundance of talent but the '81 Final Four team was loaded with talent. Rudy Macklin, Horward Carter, Cookie Man, Ethan Martin with Willie Sims off the bench they had as much talent as anybody in the country. In the first half against Indiana the Tigers were clearly the better team and Martin was outplaying Isaiah Thomas. Brown just got outcoached by Bobby Knight in the second half.

    I'm speechless.

    Mack Brown sucks.

What's he ever done besides display his stupidity at being a head football coach?
