I don't think a lot of people realize when they are eating "organic" that they are less safe in the short run. While there is no proof the pesticides and fertilizers used will affect you, especially if you are washing your fruits and veggys like you should, the alternative can kill you. What do you think they use instead of "miracle grow" types of fertilizers. They use Manure. The E-Coli outbreaks that you here about killing people and making them sick aren't caused by miracle grow my friend, but they can easily be caused by the feces you are eating on your organic vegetables. So you go ahead and eat healthy. I'll take my chances with the cheap stuff.

Miracle Gro is a phosphate based fertilizer, i think. you wouldn't want to eat much of anything that grew with the help of such a high phosphate fertilizer. Its more suitable for garden flowers and the like, things that bloom, not so much anything grown with the intent to one day be eaten... Please tell me none of yall use this stuff on that tomato vine (or whatever it is) you got growing next your houses. :nope: I suppose they say its "safe" for vegetables but I wouldn't use it. Then again, I don't garden so who the hell cares?

Plants need about 17 nutrient elements to enable them to carry out their metabolic functions. Of these 17 fourteen can be supplied through the soil.

Fertilizers are labeled with three #'s (Example 13-13-13) N P K......Nitrogen is for leaf, Phosphate and Potssium for roots. :thumb:

    Old farm boy/cattleman here. :hihi:
