A friend of mine grew up with a very prominant player on the team. He was talking about a lot of the players he knows and how they are in real life. You could hear a pin drop at our tailgate while he was talking. I asked him what some of the guys have said about Saban vs Miles. He said that Miles is the kind of coach that is like a father figure to the guys. Most guys really identify with their respective assistant coaches because they work with them the most- in the years of Miles things have been different. He told us that they said that Saban would pass you in the hall and not even give you a nod. He'd look away or not notice you. They say that Miles really does care about the team members-not just as a winning machine, but as his family. :miles:
I played college ball and my head coach was a drunk and a ass hole. Man, you played for the "BEAR"? No wonder you're a LSU fan.
LaFelle's quotes from the article is what struck out at me about how great it is to have a coach like CLM here at LSU. Being that he is one of the younger kids that CLM recruited. Hester and Steltz's quotes just verify how players feel after 3 or 4 years under the man. I think we got a good one :milesmic:
