If Chad Jones didn't develop as expected, I, for one, think that he should really, really, really stay of the field next year.

    Sincerely,

he was good from the word go. did he improve? i cant say but i think that was due to limited time. why was coleman in instead of jones when the crystal was on the line?

the coaches know something. they're pretty smart.

I agree. I was surprised when Coleman came in instead of Jones, and thought it may just be the coaches wanting to replace Steltz with -- given the importance of the game -- someone more experienced with the defensive system. Jones is a play maker, IMO, but it appears that Coleman is something special, too.

I think Jones looked more comfortable out there as the year went on, but I'm not an expert. I do think the coaches will do their best to get him on the field next year as much as they can, even if he's not a starter.

I hope the assessments on Perry Riley come true.

We really need someone to step up at the linebacker position next season.

I'm not impressed by McCray. I don't know if/where he fits in now

I've got no doubt in my mind that all of the players that will be filling spots of seniors/draft picks will step up. If there's one thing they've taught these guys, it's how to man up and do what's expected of you when you're called upon.

This is what kills our competition (especially when we're healthy)... Our players are like shark's teeth.. Remove one and there's a whole row of them that are just as sharp as the original, just waiting to feast.

I agree with everything in your post. Anyone who is not impressed with Toliver has not seen him run after the catch. Byrd, LaFell, and Toliver could be the most gifted theree receivers to ever play on the same team at LSU. Add Dickson and we only need a blocking back to have a very potent offense next year.
If RP learns the system we should be back in the BCS nest season.

Did Coleman greyshirt and then redshirt? Didn't Saban recruit him? lsusports shows him as a RS sophomore this year which is crazy. The dude will be like 30 by the time he graduates.

Harry Coleman and Drake Nevis instantly came to my mind.
