Thanks for the scenarios. Interesting stuff.

As was said previously, however, it's not going to happen this year.

The schedule is set up for it next year, though.

Hey Guido welcome to the board

Brings back memories to the old Saints teams of the early 80s

I disagree...Auburn needs to lose only ONE more SEC WEST game, lets say to Alabama, and Arkansas needs to lose to LSU and to a team from the East.
The 3 team tiebreaker would go to #3, which is record within the division.
This would eliminate Auburn, as they would have lost 2 in the west, where
LSU and Arkansas would have one west and one east loss.
Then it reverts to the two team tiebreaker after Auburn is knocked out, and head to head is the first tiebreaker, we bet Arkansas, and we are in.

Who do you disagree with? I think that is exactly what BergeGFK stated. BTW, welcome to the board.

While this is true, you're counting on MSU to beat Arkansas. Arkansas' only chance to lose would be to South Carolina or Tennessee. So we're back to the other scenario (BCS Ranking).

We don't want MSU to beat Ark, we want an east team to beat Ark to give them a 4-1 division record. We want Auburn to lose to a west team.

    Clear as mud...

Oh yeah, my bad.....the "other" east

    So that is definitely doable

Basically Arkansas lose to EITHER Tennessee or S. Carolina (but not both)
Auburn lose to Alabama (or lose 2 more SEC games)
    LSU win out

    There's your winning formula

Brings back BAD memories of the Bum Phillips coached Saints, with washed up Earl Campbell, Snake Stabler, and Guido (who never had it).

I think there is a good chance the first 2 items on your list will happen.

I am much less confident in that last item. Just hope we figure out how to beat Tenn so we can still play the what-if scenarios a little longer.

    this can happen easily

Auburn @ Bama - you can throw the records out on this game...being in tuscaloosa gives bammers even more hope

Arkansas still has to play in Columbia..spurrier can beat anyone on any given day...AND tennessee..we know how good they are this year

i still don't think arkansas has proved themselves to be a top 4 SEC this year despite them being undefeated in sec play

key game IMO is november 18th...auburn @ bama

we will win out, the piggies will lose one somewhere...if all the stars align properly and bama beats auburn, the boot will determine who goes to atlanta
