1. Re: Please for the name of all that is sacred - MNF fire Tony Kornholeiser

I've always liked Kornheiser since I've watched PTI reguarly.

----Discussing the Cardinal Punter's face mask.

Theisman " I wore a single bar mask but at least it covered part of my face"

Kornheiser " Obviously, it didnt cover your mouth"

    ....good stuff
  2. I love Kornheriser. Actually, I would prefer a Wilbon-Kornheiser duo
  3. I like him too. But PTI is by far my favorite ESPN show. Did anyone see Breeze on the good 5 minutes yesturday. He's a class act.
  4. Theisman comes off as a know it all because he's in the booth with someone who obviously didn't play football so he feels that everything Tony says is wrong. Tony is obviously at times trying to get on Joes nerves. I think its funny. Tony really is hilarious and my favorite person on ESPN. PTI is a great show minus the times that guest hosts like Whitlock and Lebetard host. The only thing missing on MNF is the Penguin Dance!!!

I'd still rather listen to Al Michaels than Mike Tirico.
  5. Whoever is in the booth, they just need to shut the hell up. It never stops. There is never any relief, never a quiet moment. In the Saints/ATL game it was about the turf; On and on and on and on and....Monday it was Leinart. He makes a good play, it's coronation time. He screws up, he's a no nothing rookie. Another good play, he's the best ever. Between every play, there is a graphic or a replay of something that happened years earlier, or some archaic stat the nobody gives a crap about. You never see a play, then watch the teams huddle then run another play. And the commercials! MY GOD, the commercials! I finally paused it, took an hour break then watched and FFd the ads. What a freakin' ordeal. Good game though.
  6. Kornholer is so bad, he makes Theesman sound reasonable. I never cared much for TK on PTI (Wilbon owns him), and his antics in the booth are just downright awful. He's always trying to get Theesman to admit that the game is 'over.' He actually didn't do it this past Monday, probably because ABC/ESPN told him to STFU on that tip b/c it may cause people to change the channel.

The irony in all this is that ABC unveiled exactly how awful of an idea it was to put Theesman and Kornholer in the booth (I like Tirico) when they had the MNF doubleheader. The other game had Nessler, Jaworski, and Vermeil (a veritable dreamteam) in the booth, simply reinforcing how awful the other crew was.

IMO, Theesman should be limited to making an idiot out of himself on the radio. Kornholer should stick to PTI. And Tirico oughta just do college games (got so used to hearing him on Thursday nights, it just doesn't seem right hearing his voice on an NFL game).

Has anything good actually come out of the merger?
  7. Tony has fun with PTI. Wilbon doesnt own Tony b/c I really don't think Tony cares. He's just an entertainer.
  8. Damn, and all this time I mistook him for a journalist.
  9. ON PTI you can tell he's just having fun. He says some stupid stuff but he's funny
