LSU alumni chapter there (lsuchicageaux.com), well that site isn't working and I have not a clue where they meet to watch games etc. I don't want to be stuck in "The Land of Lincoln" without some good ole boys to hang out with. Anyone know what bar is the meeting place up there???? Many thanks ahead of time 2005 :crystal: 2005 LSU! :champs: AGAIN
Too Bad about your move. Are you being punished for something, serving time, running from the law?? I can't think of any other reason to move to Chicago. Good luck though, it could be worse. You could be moving to NY, Philly, Detroit or Baghdad.
Got a job opportunity I couldn't pass up. Got a place in Lincoln Park, and I'm told it's a cool place to live, but I'm damn sure it will be a COLD place to live. Long johns till May! 2005 :crystal: 2005 :champs: AGAIN!
A guy on the Lair is a huge LSU fan & comes down to the games quite a bit in the fall. I can't access the Lair at work, but will do so later tonight & see if ya'll can get some conversation going. He's an attorney up there & loves to party.
The alumni web site is working right now at least: http://www.lsuchicageaux.com/index.asp?Page=Home If you have the right attitude, Chicago is a great city, probably the best large city in the US. It's not Louisiana, so don't expect it to be. If you're a whining, bitching moaner, you'll probaby find a lot to whine and bitch about. But if you look upon it as an adventure in a positive way, you can have a great time. Relatively speaking, it really doesn't snow that much in Chicago and the lake moderates the weather both in the summer and winter. Personally, I think you're trading 3 bad months for 9 better ones.
