The computers have absolutely no measure on what two teams will be in the championship game. If you can't see that with LSU jumping from #7 to #2 then I don't know what to say. I know why the human element is weighted like it is, because it would have been BS for UGA or Va Tech to go over us. But where exactly did the computer polls weigh in on the final #1 and #2? They didn't. They were irrelevant.
If you're talking about who goes 1-2 in the BCSCG this year, you're absolutely right. Mathematically, computers cannot trump strong voter support. As it's currently weighted, I tend to think of it as a sort of tie-breaker in case voters are really divided and split down the middle when it comes to who is #2/#3, but the voters clearly have more power. I won't go so far as to say the computers are completely irrelevant if certain scenarios were to occur, but I agree on the point that computers didn't pick this NC game.
Sorry bro...you ain't Toto and the sure as hell ain't Kansas...Repeat after me...Theres no place like dome...theres no place like dome... :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
Yes, if certain scenarios that the voters agree with take place the computers are left alone. But the voters can override the computers any time they want, IMO that makes them irrelevant.
I bow and concede a "faux" pas to the gentleman in the corner (Sorry, I had just got in from work when I replied, think it was 3AM or so) :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
