    I love the way these myths develop. LSU was ready for a fake...the Defense WAS on the field NOT the punt return team. It was a unique play and well run. How many fake does the up back receive the snap and hand off on a counter? The gumps only needed a yard and they barely got it. Sometimes the other team makes a good play. It wasn't poor prep by LSU just a good play.
    There is plenty to complain about LSU's performance and coaching in the game...but the fake punt as critical as it seemed isn't one of them,

    Les should have burned one his TO as soon as they lined up, just to show Saban who's boss.

    Thank you. Finally someone with some sense in this thread. We were very ready for it. They got like two yards on the play.

    It was easy to see that we played the fake. Lamin Barrow nailed the up back that took the snap, it was probably designed like a read option, the up back reads the guy crashing.

    Was a damn fine play in my opinion, and good defense also.
