Did anyone pick up on CLM's ranking among the top 25 head coaches? No? Me either. He didn't make the top 25. Why not? Is it his emotional coaching style? NOT.
Is it the consistent improvement of his team? NOT
Is it his choice of assistant coaches? NOT
Is it prejudice against the SEC or LSU? NOT

Do you think he could improve in Leadership, Work ethic, Choice of assistants, Use of player talent, Use of freshmen talent? What? Why is he not ranked higher?

Based on his win percentage over the last 5 years and being left out, I would say it's a biased report. Just like the heisman... if you think ingram is the best player in college football this year then I have a good deal on golden eggs I poop.

After the NC he would have been ranked in the top 10. It is a matter of what have you done for me lately. The Ole Miss game cost him some respect.

    Ingram deserved the Heisman.

Miles does not deserve to be in the top 25 of coaches.

He is .500 in conference the last two years.

Wipe your eyes of the p&g residue and you can see things more clearly sometimes.

of your group without blinking an eye i would take miles over groh (really??!), grobe, pinkel, riley, neu, spurrier (now, not in the 90's), tressel, leach, and tedford.

there are others that i could argue, but those i'd trade in a heartbeat and tressel would probably not be on this list and more in the arguable list if miles didn't take him behind the woodshed in 07.

I think the question was what are the top twenty-five coaches in America...not can you name twenty five coaches in America besides Miles.

    Get real !!.

You forgot to name the coach of Fordham. :hihi:.

The last couple of years have hurt his standing, but he deserves to be in the top 25.

    Of those 4 you listed:

    • Meyer lost to Miles on our way to the NC in 07.
    • Carroll finished worse this year, against easier oppenants.
    • Stoops season went to shiatt early, and finished worse than Miles.
    • Tressell... well Miles beat him for a NC in 07.
    Good list. :thumb:
