I really don't think that's fair. Either coverage was strong vs AU or Etling held the ball too long (or both). It did look like AU was solid on D, not to mention motivated by Fournette's highlights from last year.
10-23 127 yards 1 TD 1 INT 1 rushing TD. LSU 28 Mizzou 27 I don't see how people think Etling is gonna come out and throw for almost 300. If he does I'll gladly eat crow.
The only way I can buy it is by giving AU's defense more credit than most here seem to. it was also Etling's first road start.
