My guess is we don't have much motivation for this game. We win we go to a New Years Day Capital One bowl. We lose we go to a New Year's Day Cotton Bowl.

On the other hand, Arkansas has a lot to play for. Win and you go to a bowl game. It's senior day and the final home game of 2004.

    I look for Arkansas to win a close one....Razorbacks 22, Tigers-17

Outch! "Nothing to play for"?! Yes, both potential bowl games we're facing are on New Year's day, but the Capital One offers probably around $2 million MORE than the Cotton.

Our players know the difference and they know that Arkansas needs this win to become bowl eligible. Whether you're already assured of a bowl game, or you're 2-8 and your season's almost over, you still LOVE beating a team knowing that you're the reason that they are home for the holidays. :)

A bunch to play for. The few seniors we have would no doubt like there last college and for some very last football game to be a good one.

Difference of what time you play in a bowl game.

The rest of the team may be feeling they didn't have a great year and would like to go out with a bang.

Everyone loves to be a spoiler and shut sombody down.

The seniors will be pushing people to get in gear its the last game.

Coaches would love a victory to help recruits.

I for one will be watching the game like there is something on the line.

We STILL owe Hog U for 2002.

    I like the Tigs 31-17.

All of that and I don't think this years Sr. class has beaten the Hogs in Little Rock. That and a trip to Orlando vs a trip to Dallas should provide plenty of motivation for the Tigers.

  6. This is as worked up over a game as I have heard Nick about the 2002 game up there. I think he really wants to lay the wood to Houston and crew for knocking us out of the SEC Championship game. LSU 26-Ark 14

The way Charles Hanigriff is talking in the pre-game, LSU is not a lock for the Capitol One even if we win.

you should tell Nick this!!!
They played like we had nothing to play for? right?

What did we have to play for in the Independence bowls, peach bowls, Cotten bowls and Sugar bowl 2001 and the final games of the regular season
    in those years?

Yep, doesn't look like much :nope:
