We win it all. No one will be able to compete next year. No doubts from me.

We could 50+ next year. With a healthy pitching staff we will be ranked top 10 all year. A National title will be expected. We are losing a minimum number of guys and all our young players now have a taste of Omaha and they know they have what it take to get there. They will take it a step beyond. I am looking for this to be one of the best Tiger baseball teams we have ever had.

I predict another appearance at the CWS.

With a bit of luck, we win it all.

I agree, we will get to the CWS, but luck will have to be on our side to win it all, as with winning any National Championship.

Luck's Got Nothing to Do With It

As a student of college baseball, I can't see any other team even close to LSU. With the staff healthy and the return of Mestepey, Wilson, Nall, and others, the pitching staff is #1 in the country. Add the returning sticks, and LSU is untouchable. As a Bama fan and brother of a Bama pitcher, I've got to say that I dread going to the Box. The 2004 team could quite possibly be one of the best to ever play on a college diamond. Of course, you still have to play, but on paper, well, enjoy the ride!

maybe saying they will need some luck in order to win is not a good statement......maybe I should have said "Not have bad luck"....having bad luck can ruin a awesome teams chances in the CWS.

I agree as well. We WILL host a regional, SHOULD host a super regional and will LIKELY advance to the CWS. After that, it's anybody's guess. There are a lot of young teams out there (Stanford, CS Fullerton, Sout Carolina) who are going to make a run at the National Championship.

    Luck, Chance, Fortune . . .

Pure random chance plays a significant role in any human endeavor. It plays a role even in non-human endeavors!

Some theorize that a bolt of lighting hit a pool of amino acids and thus began life on Earth. Others theorize that a large meteor will eventually collide with the Earth and end life here as we know it. Both events would be pure random chance.

Baylor's top closer slammed his hand in a car door thus preventing his appearance in the Super-Regional. That was pure bad luck for them, but good luck for us.

We had something like 9 season-ending injuries last season: bad luck.

Matt Mauck's foot injury at the end of the Florida game: very bad luck.

IT'S TIME FOR LSU TO GET LUCKY!
