Can you only imagine if we had a liberal in the White House? Bush proposes increasing funding for the NEA by 15% How this ties into the deficit caused by 9/11 and the War on Terror isn't clear. Someone could have asked the President about this when he made the annoucement I guess. One problem. He didn't announce it. He sent his wife out to do it.
art spending was one of things i studied alot at LSU. i wrote alot about it. there is a professor in the poli sci dept who is nuts about it. my conclusion was that federal funding of art is bad for taxpayers and terrible for art. even politicians i love, like rudy giuliani, are terrible at understanding the relationship between the government and art.
