But one of her first acts will be an attempt to repeal what was once called the Mexico City policy, a directive prohibiting the Department of State from funding nongovernmental organizations that “perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning.” She quietly slipped the repeal into a bill to end the shutdown. So a wall is an immorality but funding abortions in other countries is not. Got it.
Pelosi pissed me off when, in saying that, she said "that's not what we're about." I've said it before, we're a country of immigrants but not a country of welfare. our ancestors cleared land and worked. They weren't on the govt dime.
