Publically funded Political elections

    I'm assuming a proper blind trust could handle that easily. They don't have to give the candidates details about when, who, and how much money came in, nor do they have to dole it out in spurts as it is donated. I would envision that regular payments of averaged amounts would deal with the matter nicely.

    i guess when exxon claims they gave 10 million to bush, bush is supposed to assume they are lying? cmon red.

    it was nice fellas, but i am off to queens, metropolitans vs cincinatti redlegs, another beautiful game of our national pastime.

    We're not trying to make the system perfect - just better. I think things can be made better without causing problems.

    The politician can help push money in a certain direction as far as budgets go. He or she cannot award that money to a particular business, that is up to the agency with the money. The only way they can buy business from the government is to have the appointees in place overseeing the agency to help control who gets the award. I thought that was what you were getting at, maybe not?
