I didn't hear his comments. Hell, lately it's a waste of time when it comes to player issues. He's not going to tell you anything anyway. :hihi: Flynn is our number 2 guy. Flynn will be the QB if JR is not able to play. Period. Anything else said by Coach Miles or anyone else is just smoke and mirrors.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but during the game when they showed trainers attendind to him, he seemed to favor the left shoulder. I don't see why he couldn't play if that's the case. There would have to be some pretty severe damage were that the case. I don't understand why RP would even be considered. I'd much rather see them go option with Skyler Green at QB than waste his red-shirt. They could run pretty much the same style offense that they ran w/ Matt Mauck in the SEC CG vs. Tennessee.
That was obviously a joke on mile's part. Green took one snap on a trickery play which he ran for 10 yards on, if I'm not mistaken.
Welker would play, Green would play, Carey would play, probably even Laron Landry would play... We won't waste 1 year for our future QB on this game... Russell will be fine though... separated left shoulder... Emmitt Smith played with that injury in 2 weeks and he is a RUNNINGback, so he gets pounded, and he dealt with it, but then again, with our line play, Russell gets hit as much as a RB
You don't burn a redshirt on Perrilloux for a bowl game. Flynn would start if Russell can't play, but you also need a backup in case Flynn gets hurt. That's why he mentioned Green and Jackson. Guess you could throw Welker in the mix as well.
