    Got word that LSU has offered him.

    Alabama has as well according to Zach.

    Currently at a Juco in Kansas and was dismissed from UGA prior to that.

    I highly doubt Alabama offered him. They probably sent out feelers before Ely verbal'd to them. Issues with this guy or not he would be a gigantic pickup for us.

    Info came from a Bama pay site and he was directly quoted. So I don't know...

    I wonder if it was a recent article? I can't imagine Bama taking another QB.. unless one of them is about to be cut. Gmac, McCarron, Sims, Ely.. fantastic depth. If Mettenberger heads to Bama we need to be on the phone with Sims :wave:

    wasnt there a rumor about sims wanting to transfer or was that bogus?

    I believe it's a different Sims...the one that isn't a QB.

    This guy is the real deal. I hope we're able to get him down here. The charge against the kid seems to be pretty stupid. It looks like he felt some girl up in a bar. Probation, a big fine, banned from a city in GA, and kicked off his team. Damn.

    He told Tigersportsdigest that he does not have an offer from LSU at this time.
