It all starts in the trenches and we got blown off the line of scrimage on both sides of the ball all game long, it wasn't even close. Last season Lavalais was double teamed a lot freeing up some of the blitzers, this year our DL is getting absolutely no push freeing up blockers to block the blizers. Even when we blitzed yesterday Green had all day to throw the ball. Man coverage with all day to throw the ball is a losing combination every time. On the offensive side of the ball our OL was getting man handled by a four man rush. Several times I saw O linemen getting pancaked at the snap of the ball and rolling around on the ground like tumble weeds. If you can't come close to blocking anyone you can forget moving the ball on the ground or in the air. What kills me is the last 4 years we have recruited tons of big time linemen yet it is clear we don't have an adequate starting group on either side. There is no shortage of talented linemen on this team yet they have not been developed into a cohesive group up to the challenge of competing in the SEC. Until the two lines show up all the skill players in the world can't help us.

It seemed like all game long Webster and Daniels were lined up right on the reciever and when the ball was snapped they would let them run off the line untouched. Why were'nt they bumping or jamming them to disrupt the timing on the pass routes?
