The LSU vs. A&M rivalry was a great one for me. I'd bet there aren't too many people who hate the Faggies as much as I do, but that's another story for another time. A&M still says LSU owes them money from the last contract, a point LSU vehemently denies. There had been some talk as recently as last year about trying to renew the rivalry. If I remember right there was talk of possibly playing a game at Reliant Stadium. It was the A&M AD that was quoted in the Houston Chronicle saying they were not interested in playing LSU anytime soon. Basically A&M doesn't want to give LSU any publicity, noteriety or recognition in the greater Houston area. With the belief being that because that region is such a recruiting hotbed, A&M doesn't want to make it any easier for LSU to gain attention from high school recruits.
Well the reason I ask is that Slocum is on the short list as DC for both LSU and Auburn. In fact, I read that former Pres. George H. Bush has talked to Skip Bertrand and personally recommended Slocum.
"Skip Bertrand" Who is Skip Betrand You mean Skip Bertman ? 5 Time LSU National Champion ???? and our AD I remember a gay character on Oliver Stones JFK called Clay Bertran, a New Orleans Socialite... But still trying to figure out who Skip Bertrand Is.... Since you busted my chops about spelling Tubs name wrong once I figured I had to return fire !!!!!!
I don't remember "busting your chops" for spelling TT wrong but it must have made an impression. How come I never had that effect on my kids:hihi: :hihi: I was just guessing on Bertman. I knew it was something like that :hihi:
Well I was over exaggerating just a bit. It was a long time ago on wen.... I still dont think I know how to spell his name without two Bs hence on wen I just say Tubs...
If that's the case, then I guess RC was one hell of a gameday coach. His teams posted some impressive records during his tenure, which if he really couldn't recruit well means he was quite the Xs and Os guy.
In his last 4 years, RC never won more then 8 games. I think he fell off the coaching bandwagon recruiting and gameday wise.
