You hit the nail on the head! This is why schools no longer let outgoing coaches hire the replacement. Most coached have huge egoes and they don't want the guy replacing them to do better. Often they will hire someone who they know wont do a good job.

LSU has some work to do but they are gettint better IMO. It is hard going against the 2 top SEC teams to start the schedule.

With Kentucky's stats so far this season, you knew they were going to get their points no matter who they play. Their bats are hot right now and LSU's are not, look at these stats before they played LSU last night.

Guys like score (aka Crawfish) live their lives vicariously through the achievements of others so it's more painful for them. It's refreshing to see that the adults on the board understand the growing pains that are necessary to rebuild the program.

Oh, and....that's baseball. We coiuld come back and put a whuppin' on them today.

If you're suggesting Bertman hired Laval knowing he would be a bad coach, highlighting Bertman's success, then you don't know Bertman. Laval was hired because Bertman believed he could continue the legacy that Bertman had started. He was wrong, but let's not try to turn him into a villian. Bertman has far more integrity than you seem willing to grant him.

I guess I didn't realize just how monumental the collapse was in the Smoke years. Now, we are left to rebuild.
