Simple - the AD's responsibility to is to provide the best facilities, etc. that the budget allows for all sports in which LSU competes, not just those that we prefer. Just like a business has to fund all their endeavors that they choose to pursue. Since football is the cash cow for a collegiate AD, football is going to pay for those that cannot b/c football will generate the revenue.
Why Do we need to renovate the Football Staduim,PMAC and Build a Baseball,Softball Staduim all at the same time?
No, we don't. The TAF can get the money and the big donors can get good seats--all without displacing long-time ticket holders. Just move big donors to the top of the upgrade list. It may take some big donors a little longer to advance to the seats that they want, but it won't displace current holders. There are enough seats in Tiger stadium for current ticket holders and TAF donors. If TAF is patient and honor the ticket holders they can get everything they want--just not all at once. The wrong way to give seats to big donors is the FAST way. The right way is the FAIR way. The PMAC needs to be renovated now, Tiger stadium needs modernzation next year Replace Alec Box a few years after that Then Tiger stadium expansion-maybe in six or eight years, Softball has a stadium that is only a few years old and they don't fill it--forget this expense for 20 years.
