I've heard the same story, but I don't know if it was Lavalais. Heck, I say every OB/GYN should be forced to wisper LSU into the ear of each and every big baby born in Louisiana! Can't hurt, can it?
Sounds like a plan... will alert medical schools. Also purple onesies supplied to big babies in all Louisiana hospitals. Subliminal messages... TigerBand played in nursery at hospitals...hmmm....

Well over 15 pounds and he is still the biggest baby born in La. from what I hear. And yes the Dr. did whisper in his ear L.S.U. It's been in every newspaper around here. They even interviewed the Dr. 3. Doctor reunited with biggest baby he ever delivered June 21, 2003 •• 841 words •• ID: mon2003062412395516 By CHUCK CANNON On Jan. 29, 1985, Dr. Ralph Armstrong - a Monroe OB/Gyn specialist - delivered one of the biggest babies ever born in Monroe. "He was huge," Armstrong said. "He weighed almost 16 pounds." Fifteen pounds and 14 ounces to be exact. Armstrong said he often wondered what had become of Herman Johnson III - the name given to the rather large bundle of joy. The Johnsons moved to Texas when Herman was 3 years

Helen was a very small mother weighing about 80 pounds and was about 4feet 5 inches tall. She delivered a baby on April 15, 1923. This baby was the biggest baby born in New York. He weighed 15 pounds 9 ounces. \ Im looking and I can't find one bigger.
Here's a damn good article........... While Johnson was being recruited by LSU last year, the doctor who delivered Johnson told Saban he didn't have anything to worry about. The first thing the kid heard when he was born was "LSU" -- the doctor said he had whispered it. There are fans with other alliances in the state. Especially around Baton Rouge, you see plenty of license-plate frames and car flags for Southern University. http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/sports/1094299476270761.xml#continue
That is a great article! They should recruit with it! I was glad that Southern won the SWAC the same year as the NC for LSU. I enjoyed the parade of champions and wish the bands could visit each others games once for half time!
