Just heard that a Russian sub was caught siphoning diesel fuel from the Mobil refinery north of BR.

    Authorities are investigating.

Mississippi is not deep enough to hide a full size sub....

Not north of the 190 bridge. That's as far north as the corps of engineers keeps the river dredged for ocean going vessels.

Huey Long purposely built the bridge too low for ships to pass under so they would have to stop in Baton Rouge. Anything north of the bridge is tugboat traffic because tugs don't need as deep water.

While a sub might be able to pass under the bridge I don't know how deep the water has to be for them to operate

There are at least 2 decks on a sub plus the conning tower. That would be more or less 30' high. They could ride above the water or partially submerged but not completely below water so that people could not see them.

speaking of russia, the leadership of montenegro is maybe going to change hands, in the wrong direction. montenegro, like ukraine and serbia and ukraine and belarus etc is sort of in a cultural political battle between the values of the russian/eastern/serbian/etc orthodox church/russia vs the more open values of europe and the EU and NATO. allying with the US and europe vs russian tradiationalism. gay pride parades and free speech vs beating up gays and being tough men that drink vodka and hate the US.

anyways, it looks like the russian/serbian backed candidate will win, which is unfortnate becasue montenegro is newly a part of NATO (only votes opposed were rand paul and mike lee).

100% chance the russians and americans "interfered" in this election
