It's hard to say if there were any punches thrown, but it was certainly a piss poor display by someone who is supposed to be a team captain (#26 Thomas). It's one thing to be frustrated, but that occured early in the game when ND was actually ahead 7-0.

What an exciting weakend lies ahead for an irish fan. Who would've thought that our best chance for a win at this point in the schedule would be Michigan. I'm predicting an irish win of 14-3, only because I'm hoping the defense can get two scores this weekend. It's going to be a long season.

You should watch that again. Punches, shoving, helmet ripped off. The PSU player had a cut on his forehead that was bleeding pretty good. Both irish players should have been tossed...........by coach weiss. He wanted nasty, he got nasty.

There were punches thrown- the Penn St. player was bleeding a little from a cut. One of them ripped off his helmet too. Gumborue's been on the rag lately and a lil edgy, I'll let you tell him. :hihi:

Have fun poking fun at the Jason White statue, but don't get too cocky just yet.

My randon thought after two weeks:

    NO PRESEASON POLLS!!!!!!

Michigan is "busted"... Auburn has looked sorely mediocre and obviously didn't deserve their top 20 ranking... VT, after two weeks, looks nothing better than an "Also receiving votes" team (appologies to all the friendly VT fans I met on campus this weekend but when you struggle against ECU in a lack-luster win and then get TOTALLY destroyed the next week in a matchup of "top 10" teams, the bottom line is that you just aren't THAT good).

Now, unlike years' past where we started the year not ranked in the top 2, we ALWAYS had to concern ourselves with every team ranked ahead of us needing to lose. Now, we control our own destiny this year, and that's a good feeling, but that's ONE year in the past 50 that we've been in that position.

I say it ALL the time, but if you're NOT ranked in the top 15 in the pre-season, your chances of making it all the way to the top 2 is damn near impossible--and considering that pre-season rankings don't have anything to do with the season itself but hype up ticket sales, they simply shouldn't be used.

Now, you can half the media throw out predictions and rankings (similar to how they already do NFL Super Bowl predictions), but NONE of what is said before Oct. should even be on record or calculated in the BCS formula.

i saw no punches thrown. shoving? shoving? r u serious? isnt that called blocking? had the whistle blown? saw the helmet off, but that happens all the time and i couldnt see how it came off. couldnt see blood on the vid.

maybe youre gunshy because of the common lapd actions.
