It's a slow time of year...

Rank the SEC by best (most talented, not necessarily successful) Coaches.

Rich Brooks is easily the worst coach in the league, IMO (SEC has 12 coaches, by the way).

Interesting list there. Talented is definitely a subjective term though.

Thanks Tejas. I know there are 12 coaches - but the last two are both terrible & I know nothing about either of them so I didn't include them.

 

Not nitpicking but when you say best SEC coach how can you rate Miles, Myer and Orgeron who have yet to coach their 1st SEC game?

 

I don't consider Richt & Fulmer all that talented because I don't think they could take any program & succeed with them.

I was tempted to put Meyer at number 1 because he's shown his ability to do just that, but he hasn't proven it against the top competition & so I knocked him down a little bit.

Spurrier's talent will be decided with how he does with the USC squad over the next couple years. If he brings them to the SECCG he'll deserve the credit.

Miles showed his ability to turn a quite unsuccessful program into a winner against tough competition & I expect great things out of him.

 

Because they are in the SEC now. That's the point of this - to see where all the new coaches fall.

I agree with an Auburn fan??!!! Ew, I feel dirty. (just kiddin Proud:hihi: ) It's hard to give rankings for Miles, Meyer, Orgeron b/c they haven't coached an SEC game yet. Spurrier however, had an integral part in changing the way the SEC played defense and in turn offense. I think Fullmer, Tubby, Richt, are interchangeable depending on who had the best previous season.
