Over the years LSU has had some good OL Coaches. I was shocked to see Pete Mangurian let go from Tampa. He's still young (At 55) and should fine a job soon. Lots of former LSU coaches and player coaching in the Pro's.

Will was one of those guys that was gonna make his mark last year. He is a leader, keep an eye on him. Remember Faulk started a few games last year, so this is not new to him. Branch, Williford, T-Bob and Shaw can come in at times and do a good job to give the starters a break.

One of the other deeper positions would have to be TE:

    No. 19 Deangelo Peterson 6-5 240, SR
    No. 83 Mitch Joseph 6-5, 275, SR
    No. 88 Chase Clement 6-5, 255, JR
    No. 46 Tyler Edwards 6-3, 240, JR
    No. 41 Travis Dickson 6-3, 243, RSFR
    No. 85 Alex Russian 6-5, 230, SR
    No. 84 Nick Jacobs 6-5, 265, RSFR

KRags likes to use the TE's is sets/miss-matches.

You're right. We are loaded at tight end and hardly ever used them the last couple of years (except against Alabama on one memorable play). I really like the two tight end set. There's so much you can do with it but Crowton didn't have a clue.

We seem to have no true fullbacks this year. It would not surprise me to see a tight end lined up in the backfield on short yardage situations.

Crowton would throw something against the wall to see if it would stick. No rhyme or reason. On offense, execution is the main key. Making base reads helps. To win 11 games last year, some parts went right.

On the other side of the ball, defense is played with an attitude, we are seeing this with Chief.

31 Players returning have a recorded stat in a game last year.

16 players started a least one game last year.

A breakdown: DL- 6 players, LB-4 players and DB-6 players.

Returning are the leading player with Ints. (Claiborn-5), Forced Fumbles (Mathieu-5), Fumble Recoveries (Manthieu-3), Sacks (Baker-7) and Passes Broken up(Manthieu-7).

We also return 24 of the top 30 tacklers from last year.

The mixture of young and old last year did well for the defense, this trend will continue.

Ryan Baker finished the year second in tackles to Sheppard, he also led all players in sacks with 7 for 60 yards.

    Gonna be a fun year......

Faulk lined up at times when we went to a heavy package. This year Collins and/or one of the TE's could handle this job. The Jacobs kid name has come up when talking to friends.
