Sure, we can criticize him on a few pass plays. He was only given the opportunity to pass like 3 times anyways. The fact that he was run eight times in the first half was disgusting. It didn't work, and they kept pushing it. I'm of the school that a QB runs on an option or a scramble. I hate seeing a player that has to do so many other things forced to become a running back. Called me old fashioned and stupid, but I don't want to risk injury. So yeah, I thought he did fine. Whether or not fine works, we'll soon be finding out, but let's savor the win!
Flynn will be as good as the O-line will let him. I'd rate his handling of last night's game as an 8/10. No fault to him at all. First game, SEC opponent, on the road, raining, new OC, etc.... I believe that this team will play to the level necessary to win.. no matter who the opponent.
Well, I never played QB in pads. I have no disdain at all for Matt Flynn. I hope he performs brilliantly. I just have doubts about his abilities as a QB, and fear seeing those doubts realized at the expense of my team.
Normally, when you're a new poster that comes in a stirs the pot right off the bat, you're not going to be embraced with open arms. Think about it.
Saying I don't have confidence in Matt Flynn is stirring the pot? Honestly, I figured just being a Tigers fan was enough to earn one the benefit of the doubt around here. Didn't know I had to be obsequious about it.
When the guy is 2-0 (by score of 85-3), and the guy that's expected to lead this team, yes that's called stirring the pot.
