My man Carnell Williams, then . . . uh . . . . . uh . . . . Just kidding, aufan01's list looks pretty good. I might put Carlos Rogers ahead of Brown. The LSU quarterbacks are unproven, everybody knows that. But they ain't untalented! :hihi:
That's true, but it's the most important position in the game. You'd hope that your QB is one of the top 15 guys on your team. ...and what about Randall? Unproven? Not to me.
JMO, but most Auburn fans still remember the Randall of old. He's going to surprise a few folks with how much his reads and consistency have improved. I still don't believe he's the most talented of the QB squad, but he's the most experienced and I agree he'd be the guy to go with, all things considered. Have you noticed that Randall's release point is different than it was last season? I had him on the Tivo last week following the televised practice and his throwing motion looks much more natural now than the "forced" look it once had.
As you saw last year with Mauck, Jimbo's offense isn't about the QB doing it all. It's about the QB managing the offense properly. That is what Mauck did well and that is what Nick said about Randall after the Spring game. He managed the offense better than the other QB's. This ain't the same Randall in his first road game from 2 years ago. Auburn fans won't believe it until they see him. We can relate. Cadillac Williams missed the 2002 LSU game and had a really poor game against us last year. LSU fans will think he's overrated until he actually shines against us. Both players will make a lot of believers this year, likely.
