Thanks for the info, Brett. Doesn't one have to open an email containing a virus in order for his computer to get infected? I DO keep my virus software up-to-date at all times, but I still worry about these things. If I simply delete such an email without opening it (assumming my anti-virus software fails to catch it), even if it has been sitting in my inbox for some time, is it not true that my computer WILL NOT BE INFECTED? Thanks!!!

Correct me if I am wrong, but -

if you use Microsoft Outlook for your e-mail, and you have the "preview pane" option working, then Outlook is sort of opening the mail automatically in order to preview it. Be sure to opt out of this feature to be safe.

I don't think that's the case, but I am certainly not an expert. Like Brett said, best thing is to have up-to-date virus software.

I'm for the death penalty for those who create these viruses! Well, maybe not death, but close to it! If only they could use their genious for good instead of evil!
