Read any good books lately?

Imagine that!

 

I always had a crush on Cheryl.

Had a poster of her on my wall in college.

Her and a girl with a wet t-shirt from the neck down showing large underneath cleavage and it said in very simple terms "Study Hard" I wish I still had that poster for my LSU room. You know one of my prized possessions to this day is a plastic drinking mug from the 1970's that is of Farah Faucet in her swimming suit. I have had that mug for close to 40 yearsand it is in a primo spot on my bar.. If it were not for my wife you would all meet me on that show hoarders.lol

 

I just finished no easy day. Not sure if it's been discussed in this thread. I found it very interesting. Not too amped up about american sniper. I'm sure I'll read it at some point.

I just started catch 22. I've actually never read it.

 

I guess I'm at a weird place in my career because I am reading mastery. It has me thinking a lot.

I'm reading Dennis Lehane's Kenzie and Gennaro series, good stuff.

 

Did he writer "Shutter Island"? That damn book tripped me out.

 

Yes he wrote Shutter Island and Mystic River too.

 

That was a wicked book. Sort of pissed me off

 

He is a really good writer, Gone baby Gone is one of the books in the series I'm reading now, I burned through the first 3 books in less than 2 weeks. Gone baby gone is taking longer because I'm not as motivated being I saw the movie, but it's still really good.

He also wrote a bunch of "The Wire" episodes, and the story for the movie "The Drop", which is really a good movie, slow but worth it in the end.
