What's so funny? Weis thinks he deserves a medal for barely beating UCLA at home.:hihi: Everyone seems surprised that by halftime of a blowout people are ready to go home. Have you forgotten what university this is. We exert most of our energy drinking, cooking, playing washers and table slip-n-sliding. If it's a blowout by halftime we want to get home and ice our heads. :thumb:

I actually like to see some of the younger players get playing time. I enjoyed seeing Jacob Cutrera getting to make calls at linebacker. I enjoyed seeing RP getting some snaps at quarterback. I enjoyed seeing KW running the ball against Fresno. Seeing the younger guys get a chance to show what they can do on the Football field is a good thing.

I think we have to blame all of this on TIVO. If it wasn't for the ease of recording programs we would have no choice but to stay at the game if we wanted to see these players. OK, a little blame goes to You Tube also. :hihi:

That is actually a very good post. TIVO has changed ALL of our lives. But it does make it easier to rewatch the good plays over and over again. I found myself doing that when Alley got his TD run. I just wanted to see him hit that DB over and over again.

I've been really disappointed this year with a lot of tiger fans. A few older guys I know are saying that they dont care about LSU until russel's replaced or miles is fired or this or that...

It makes me sick. First of all, regardless of hwo you feel about russel ( I like and support him 100% ) you should support him for no reason other than the fact that he's the QB of your team. He could throw 100 interceptions and I'd still support him. I know guys that have actually wished ill upon him. How classless is that?

Miles too, while there are things I completely disagree with, I can't turn my back on him. His start is probably better than Saban's but people want to jump on his back. SABAN LOST TO UAB!!! Losses to UF and Auburn aren't to be looked down upon. Those are very tough road games. They're both ranked in the top 5 currently if im not mistaken.

Sure the competition at home is subpar this year, but I think maybe we've been spoiled over the recent years with great home games vs florida, georgia, auburn, arkansas, etc... It just happens that this year is a down year. Next year will be great again and the whole world will be an LSU fan.

Truth of the matter is, going to an LSU game is a privelage. It's not something to be taken for granted. If you feel like it's "not worth going to the games vs weaker teams" then give your tickets to someone that actually loves LSU football. I'll be there, having a great time with them... while you're at home, feeling pitiful because LSU's not undefeated

Great post. We just have to realize that some people like to hear themselves B1tch and that will never change.

I agree with you Cadilliac that things can get bad sometimes outside the stadium at Tiger Stadium but then again that is anywhere in the SEC when there is a big game. I think it's very true what is said that it's the 5% of the fans out there that are creating this behavior but I think we have to be very fair and say it's not just in Baton Rouge. I was at the 03' Ole miss in Oxford and me and my buddy were jumped by like 10 ole miss guys cause we were walking with an LSU flag. Later on that night one of the guys in our group got in a fight and arrested by the oxford police while the ole miss guy was let go scott free. Last year walking around at Bama we all saw the guys with the t-shirts disrespecting the whole katrina incedent totally etc . I say all this not to put down on our conference, I've had the time of my life the past 4 years of school going to away games in support of the tigers and Obviously LSU has had it's share of very ugly incidents, (03' Georgia) all I'm saying is we've all experienced it at different SEC stadiums at these "big" intense games which get hyped up beyond belief and fans will be "wearing their emotions on their sleeves." Point is you can't just point the finger at Baton Rouge as the only one with "problem security" or "problem fans" that 5 % is everwhere.
