National championships. Every year. Every sport.

Fire any coach that doesn't deliver.

 

Wise move. I was in a pretty pissed off mood. You'd have gotten unloaded on.

I judge a coach by 3 criteria.. 1. team discipline.. 2. level of accomplishment compared to level of team talent 3. big game wins...

Basketball.. good discipline... below level accomplishment (last year's team should have easily been in the sweet 16 or better)... big wins, well there was some, but the post seasons were a bust...

Baseball... from the stories i've heard, the discipline is lacking... below level accomplishment (high recruiting classes, but not the high pay-off)... Big wins, well Smoke's post season record isnt exactly stellar...

For anyone who wants to measure success in the 3 major college sports by National Championships, please look no further than this post. 2 Schools in America can claim National Championships in two of the three major sports in the 21st Century - Miami and LSU - pretty darn good company if you ask me...
