Sounds like my philosophy on the LSU mens basketball team with Mr. Brady
    at the helm. :D

Gotta have a sense of humor these days around here but it is true. :thumb:

More on this: Del Rio fired his agent today b/c he did not tell Del Rio about the interview. Sounds like Del Rio was really interested but his agent dropped the ball. His agent said he did not tell Del Rio b/c it would be a breach of his contract.

Can't help but feel a bit upset about that. However, any coaching hire is a gamble. Nothing is guaranteed.

The more I think about it, the happier I am that a college coach was hired. Miles has recruiting experience and can step in here at this crucial time in the process and make a positive difference.

By the way, Aubarn Sucks and Ole Piss can go to hell!

Doesn't matter. An agent's job is to field offers, not make judgement calls on what info his client should or shouldn't have. He could've just as easily advised Del Rio that meeting w/ LSU could possibly be a breach of contract.
That would have put the ball squarely in Del Rio's court.

uscpuke mistyped I think. He was fired because he didn't tell Del Rio that Wayne Weaver (owner) didn't know about the interview. Del Rio assumed Weaver was informed (as his contract required of him) that he would be meeting with LSU. When his agent called him at the last minute and informed him he may be in breach of contract with the scheduled meeting (because agent didn't/forgot to inform owner) - Del Rio cancelled the meeting.

He then fired him for the bungle.

I will support the team and the new coach, but I agree, this is kind of disappointing. I think JDR is the guy alot of people wanted to see here.

My guess is JDR used his agent as a scapegoat to save face for flirting with LSU. If JDR wanted the LSU job, he durn well would have made himself available for an interview.

The reason we got Les Miles is because he wanted the job.
