Okay a couple other notes from the SG trip.....

The tickets they gave us say on there to use "Gates 32-34". Well, my friend and I (as well as a few other LSU students) arrive at the gate 32. The lady at the gate tears my ticket. I go to walk in. She says "Oh, I can't let you in. The edges aren't preferrated. You can't come in. You have to go to gate 37 to get your ticket validated." So I ask if I can have at least my stub back. She repeats the same thing. I ask again and then explain that I won't be able to get in without a stub. She lets me in. My friend asks if he can come int too since he's with me. She tells him he has to go to gate 37. Apparently she was giving everyone of us a hard time getting in. My friend just went down to the next gate over and they let him in no problem. I'd like to thank the ticket taker for being a total ass at gate 32.

The cops on the inside of the stadium were kind of dicks to us, too. They fussed at us for standing on the bleachers. Everyone does it. Get over it. Then they came back and bitched at us. I don't mean me specifically, but all of the LSU student section. But after halftime, we all were back on the bleachers.

That flyover with the jets and the bomber AS SOON as the national anthem was over was awesome!

And apparently, one of the students sold his ticket to a Bama fan. The tickets had a seat on them, but everyone was just sitting whereever. Well, the one Bama fan wanted his specific seat. Which happened to be RIGHT next to where I was. He was quiet the whole time (probably because he was scared we'd murder him), except for in the 4th quarter when Alabama would stop us. A minute after Bowe scored the TD, I look over and he's nowhere to be seen. Hahaha.

After the game, we didn't really hear anything from the fans. Except when we came across this group of about five students who were obviously drunk. I didn't say a word to them. "Oh there they are. Pussies. You're a bitch. You wanna go? Come on? Whatcha gonna do about it? Huh? Huh? You're a bitch. KATRINA! KATRINA! KATRINA!".

I just laughed on the inside because he showed his ignorance since I know Mobile was damaged by Katrina as well.

I don't hold those fans against Bama, though. Everyone has a bad bunch, but we mostly encountered good fans. The guys we were hanging out with before the game took some good-natured pot shots at us, and we returned the favor.

Nice looking campus, and it's definitely got a different look to it than LSU. The Bryant-Denny Stadium is nice, but it definitely ain't home. It's not as wild and crazy as, say, the Swamp or Death Valley, of course. They are loud, but I've heard louder. The LSU student section was really loud and I have no doubt that we helped our team out. The seats seem closer to the field, and the bowl doesn't go up nearly as high as Tiger Stadium. And the cover over the upper decks reminds me of a baseball field.

Overall, pretty good experience at the game with the exception of a few a-holes.

I wonder how they would have felt if for some reason the LSU fans sang their rammer jammer song at them. "Hey bama....hey bama...We just beat the hell out of you..."

Not exactly the epitome of class, but it doesn' bother me. Those select few fans should look at their own traditions before they get mad at fans with a simple flag.

No it was a Lambo, not a Porshe (what that Bama cheerleader has) and I was sure it was LSU fans because of all the purple and gold they had on...by the way, if you think that guy got the Porshe from his daddy, you're sadly mistaken :hihi: . I know the real story and it's not very cool.
