Recipe Time Again

    Still inject the turkey??? How moist does the meat turn out?

    My sister has one of those. We used it one year and it was jam up. Just as good as in oil or even better...as far as "good" can be with turkey.

    Do it exactly how you would if you were frying it. I usually inject mine. It turns out IMO exactly like a fried turkey, crisp skin and moist inside.

    Yup! I spray a little olive oil on the skin sometimes before rubbing it down with seasoning and then hit it again for that crispy flavor.

    What do you like to sprinkle on outside.......Brinkmans used to make a "turkey rub" that was not full of salt like many of the other deals are. Used to find it at Academy.......no mas, so I do the oil spray too and use Slap Ya Mama or Cajun Shake.

    Brinkmans went bankrupt. But there are some low-salt and no-salt rub recipes out there.

    Lightly coat the outside with oil and sprinkle with Bourque's, the best seasoning I've ever found.

    If I need to do low salt I make my own, but usually use Tony's Extra Spicy mixed with Slap Ya Mama or Cajun Shake as well.
