Most athletes, whether 5 star or 2 star, have to have alot more than just raw talent to make it in CFB... for example Auburn's LB Carlos Rogers was a 2 star recruit and look what kind of a player he turned into. Stars can be very telling, and do HYPE up your university, but some of these HSers are getting such inflated egos, See JR pre season, that they forget that they are playing at a different level in Div 1. That being said, "Perriloux to LSU", but not because your a 5 Star QB, but because you want to play for the Tigers.
Mike Williams for USC was a 3star recruit. RECRUITING RATINGS MEAN NOTHING. But we have talent everywhere and hopefully Miles will get the offense back to the Rohan days.
Ratings may be off for a few of the players but when looking at the entire class they are very accurate. If a guy joins a site it's usally because they like to read about the recruits, watch the video's, get a feel for what is going on around the country, follow many programs, etc. I know that is why I pay the once a year fee, not a monthly fee. To each his own, don't knock what others enjoy if it isn't hurting you.
Wasn't he listed as a FB??? I think that's a good indication as to why he was only a 2-star. Not too many 5-star FB's out there....
LSU can only move up, even if they don't sign a full class. Most of the top-10 already have near full recruting classes. If LSU signs only eight more 3- and 4-stars, we will likely finish in the top-10 again. One or two 5-stars and it is another potential top-5.
And OU finisehd 7th on Insiders with only 17 recruits last year. It's the quality more than the quantity.
should take transfers into account Although not factored in for purpose of rating recruiting class, Tiger fans should keep in mind that Sammy Joseph and Chase Pittman will be Tigers this Fall, also, Coleman and Holmes. Are these all solid commitments, or are they already on the roster?
