Because of all the Boo-birds. Not very classy IMO.

 

It was not a smattering of boos. A smattering of boos amongst 92,000 people wouldn't have even been heard. It was noticeable. I don't think it was blown out of proportion. I have the ESPN coverage of the game recorded, and you can hear it (just as the rest of the nation could), and the announcers pointed it out too. It was a sad, sad, sad day in the life of LSU football. I would hope that LSU fans would not want to be known all over the country for booing our players, but that's what the rest of the country saw that night.
